Spring is in the air, at least in the heart and mind of one sunshine deficient scarf designer (aka me). The winter months can seem to drag a bit, especially after the thrill of the New Year has worn off and we're back to concentrating on the cold weather and cloudy days. 

To me, spring is renewal. It's a clean slate. It's bright and shining and full of promise for all the fun and adventure that the warmer months tend to bring. I revel in the thought of anything fresh and hopeful - it inspires me in my pursuits, both career-wise and personal. My goals seem more attainable and my vision seems more clear.

Spring is also fun because of all the fashion inspiration and wardrobe re-invention made possible by trends of the moment. Even in my super busy schedule, I try to make time to browse through fashion websites and magazines. I do it not only to keep up with fun trends and bring them to you, but also to soak up the energy of creativity that abounds among designers and bloggers this time of year.

So bring on the cozy scarves and coffee dates, the rolled down windows and sunny pop music, the brightly colored manicures and cute little baubles...come on back, Spring. It'll be good to see you!

• What gets you the mood for spring?

Fall fashion season is upon us! There are so many looks and styles, both recycled and new. It seems like one of the past decades is always making a comeback – the 70s, the 80s, and now the 90s. Plaid and grunge are supposedly back in full force, which will make for a casual, laid back vibe this fall.

But really the change in seasons is just another reason to discover your own style creativity. I personally prefer the classics – v-neck sweaters, leather bomber jackets, dark denim, boots, and of course scarves….lots of scarves! Other styles come and go, but these seem to stand the test of time.
